Getting Started with your Course Staff Guide

Turn Editing On Click either the link or the button as below:

Course Structure Course Summary: Area to introduce your course. Course Topics: Each topic could relate to a subject, week or unit. Blocks: Blocks appear on the sides of your course and contain menus and additional course content. Topic Summary: Area to introduce each topic.

Course Structure Moodle treats each course summary, topic summary, block, topic, activity or resource as a separate object. Each object has its own editing options as shown in the next slide...

Editing Options Move Icon: Click to move an object. Delete Icon: Click to move an object. Edit the course settings See what the course looks like as a student Edit Icon: Click to edit an object. Hide Icon: Click to hide an object. Assign Roles: Control who can see / access an object. Add a new block Add an activity or resource (such as label / file / website link) Make a topic the current topic. Hide a topic.
