Critique Self-Critique I selected two images from websites that were relevant to the learning goal. I took pictures of the actual Samsung pocket camcorder with my digital camera for the other seven images, and uploaded the files to the computer. All nine of the images were cropped using Adobe Photoshop CC 2015, inserted into PowerPoint, and resized within PowerPoint to look better in the presentation. After this presentation, the learners will know how to turn on the camcorder, record videos with the camcorder, and turn off the camcorder. I used the following six principles of multimedia in the presentation: I added relevant text and images to support the multimedia principle. I excluded extraneous words and pictures to support the coherence principle. I added arrows for clues to support the signaling principle. I placed words and pictures together to support the spatial contiguity principle. I separated the instructions and images into separate slides, then added control buttons at the bottom of the slides to support the segmenting principle. I used the word “You” to support the personalization principle. Second Opinion My wife stated that the presentation was good. I made text changes to clarify the instruction on three sides after her feedback. Also, I increased the size of the storyboard snapshot so that she could read it. She said that the presentation was straight-forward and easy to follow. She concluded that it was effective in showing her how to record videos with the camcorder, after I made the text adjustments to the presentation that were based on her feedback.
