With a person next to you, share the objectives for today! Learning Targets: I can explain and describe what high quality work looks like. Today’s Class I can provide feedback on my peer’s writing. I can use feedback to rewrite any essay. I can explain what the expectations of this class is for the year.

GALLERY WALK: Stand up and take a look at the different lab safety poster. Based on the rubric, which numbers should get an “A”, “B”, and so forth. No talking during the first walk. Be ready to explain why those posters got the grades that they got.

GALLERY WALK: Let’s get into group setting. In your groups, compare the grades you gave each of the numbers. Which numbers were the same, which ones were different? Get ready to share your discussion with the class.

Essay - Introduction Get into your pairs and exchange essays. Read the introduction to each other. Was it interesting or catchy? Did it provide a preview of what you are going to be talking about? When you are done, give suggestions on how to make the introduction interesting or better.
