SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING CONSULTANCY EDUCATION TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES © Hughenden Ltd The Hughenden Courses Recollection of an Experience…

© Hughenden Ltd Dear Diary, I attended a Hughenden course this week. Here is how it felt…

© Hughenden Ltd I found the conference room easily, thanks to the friendly signs. The music was a nice, welcoming touch – it helped me relax after my long journey.

© Hughenden Ltd At the start of the course, I was given a comprehensive and user-friendly manual. On the walls, there were lots of signs to explain the flow of the course.

© Hughenden Ltd There was no time to get bored: soon after the start, we played our first Supply Chain simulation. It helped me to understand lots of principles that we used again throughout the course.

© Hughenden Ltd There were lots of team exercises. It meant that we were able to apply the theory straight away, to practical examples.

© Hughenden Ltd All of the activities were full of learning points and fun. They were so varied, everybody had a favourite. Mine was the computer simulation where we had to manage a factory… My team made the biggest profit!

© Hughenden Ltd For every practical activity, we documented and discussed the outcomes. It will be useful to use it again. Fortunately, the tutors supplied lots of fruit and chocolate. We needed it to re-fuel the brain!

© Hughenden Ltd And it was not long before the next practical team exercise! Some of them were really challenging…

© Hughenden Ltd The tutors really looked after us: we even did some exercises outdoors because the weather was good.

© Hughenden Ltd The Team Thermometer was brilliant! It enabled us to express how we felt during the project work.

© Hughenden Ltd And there was always time for another chocolate!

© Hughenden Ltd We also each got a Certificate for completing the course. Mine is already hanging proudly above my desk! At the end, we were given some useful memory cards and tools to use beyond the course.

© Hughenden Ltd Time went by so quickly during the course; There is so much I have learnt; Its difficult to describe… You had to be there!* * Genuine feedback from a participant
