Overview Four sections English (75 minutes) Math (60 minutes) Reading (35 minutes) Science (35 minutes) There is also an optional writing section! Check with your university to see if this is required.

Scoring What is the highest score you can make on the ACT? Are wrong answers counted against you? What is a subscore? What is the composite score?

Fall 2018 Test Dates September 8th (Registration deadline is August 10th!) October 27th December 8th ALL JUNIORS WILL TAKE THE ACT HERE AT THE SCHOOL ON FEBRUARY 20th!

General ACT Tips Never leave a question blank. FOCUS If you don’t know an answer immediately, move on! Prepare the night before: get enough rest, pack all supplies including snack, and plan breakfast. Practice your timing. Use process of elimination to your advantage.

English 75 questions; 45 minutes About how long does that give you per question? Includes passages with grammar questions, as well as critical thinking involving structure and author’s purpose.
