Opening of Schools – Elementary/Secondary 2010-11 August 24, 2010 Board of Education Jane A. Russo, Superintendent Dawn Miller, Assistant Superintendent, Secondary Division Herman Mendez, Assistant Superintendent, Elementary Division

Programs verification was completed on August 24, 2010 High School Master Schedule Majority of High School Master Schedules were above 90% by August 1, 2010 due to the implementation of AERIES Programs verification was completed on August 24, 2010 Daily updates to the Master Schedule provided to Secondary Division throughout Summer 2

Teacher Staffing Schools have sufficient teachers to accommodate the expected student enrollment Human Resources will have available substitutes to ensure a successful school opening Student attendance will be monitored on a daily basis to provide adjustments and staffing as needed Final adjustments will be made by September 25, 2010

Facilities Classrooms, Students desks and chairs Principals have signed a verification form indicating that they have sufficient classrooms and furniture for the anticipated student enrollment

Core Textbooks Textbooks were ordered and distributed to school sites Principals signed a verification form indicating that they have sufficient core textbooks

Opening Day Support School Sites District Staff: Facilities, District Administrators and Central Office Staff will be deployed to assist school staff in the opening of schools
