Design Two layer rollercoaster Starts from rest Dropped into a loop Proceeds into a spiral Drops down into a pipe Makes a jump into a funnel Shoots down a tube Hits a magnetic target.

Stored Energy Potential Energy = Mass · Gravity · Height Marble starts from rest Marble is dropped All stored energy is potential energy (mgh) Energy = (.003 kg)(9.81 m/s²)(1.05 meters) Energy = .030902 Joules

Design and Construction Issues

Conclusions Our elevator was good in theory, not in practice Cross-bracing was an effective means of supporting our structure We learned not to overcomplicate our designs when given basic materials to work with. A good team has to adapt to dynamic problems
