Multimedia can be used in Education Entertainment Business Society

Multimedia in education Used to help students who learn in different ways. Uses different media to get the message across. Brings subjects alive for students.

Multimedia in education Tutorial packages where students can learn a topic/subject. Language packages using sound, video and animation. Interactive activities to test student understanding. Online tests to allow teachers to check on progress.

Multimedia in entertainment Many people now spend more time on their computer than they do watching TV. Use social networking sites, chat rooms, online auctions, watching videos on YouTube, etc.

Multimedia in business Most businesses use multimedia in their websites. Use a full range of multimedia features such as video, animation, sound, interactivity to advertise their goods or services. Use multimedia in presentations given to customers.

Multimedia hardware Input devices include: LCD/plasma screen Mouse Graphics tablet Touch-sensitive input devices Microphone A graphics tablet being used

Memory requirements Memory is important in multimedia because: Applications run faster on their own. More applications can run at the same time. You are able to move quickly between applications.
