UBC / UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA CURRENT (FALL 2018) EFFECTIVE FALL 2019 EFFECTIVE FALL 2020 Grads 2018 Current 11s Current 10s Required Grade 11 courses: English 11 Science 11 Language 11 or waiver Language 11 Math 11   English 12 + 3 approved Grade 12 courses as required by the program Minimum of 6 Grade 12 courses, including English 12 (no "approved course" list). Minimum of 6 Grade 12 courses, including English 12 (no "approved course" list) - Faculty-specific requirements remain the same Personal Profile English 12 with a minimum final grade of 70% English 12 with a minimum final grade of 70% Completed Literacy & Numeracy Assessments holistic admissions based on: - 12-18 Gr 11/12 courses including at least 6 Grade 12 courses* - max. 2 visual/performing arts courses can be used - *ADST, Careers, & PE courses not incl. lowest grade omitted - Assessment categories for faculties will be added to the website March 2018 - Course lists will be adjusted with the new courses as the new curriculum is finalized. updated information as of Feb 2018; please check UBC website for program-specific info & any updates

UBC will look at the following in addition to grades: Breadth of your coursework At least 6 Grade 12 level courses (recommended) Heavier course loads in Grade 11 and 12 will be recognized Rigour of your coursework Challenge yourself in school Relevancy of your coursework Pursue courses relevant to your intended area of study Personal circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis
