There are TWO main branches of Physics Relativity- the physics of the really big and massive i.e. you, me, stars, galaxies. Quantum Physics- the physics of the really small i.e. atoms and subatomic particles. *** Both are fundamentally true. Both have been demonstrated to be accurate. *** BUT, you cannot use relativity to predict the motion of subatomic particles, and you can’t use quantum physics to understand the interactions between really large objects. *** Both are everywhere at the same time (i.e. you are relatively massive, but you are made of small atoms).
Special Relativity The passage of time on fast-moving objects is slower than if the object was at rest. the faster you go, the slower time goes by. HOWEVER, an observer inside a fast moving object would not FEEL as if time was going by slower. (it’s all RELATIVE) NOTHING can travel faster than the speed of light. If you pass a photon of light while moving at some fraction of the speed of light in the opposite direction, the photon of light would still measure the speed of light. Only wavelength would change. Matter can be converted into energy and energy can be converted into matter. E = mc2
