Like others early civilizations, early China and India were similar in that both developed along rivers where the soil was fertile.
Early China was located along the Yellow (or Huang He) and the Yangtze Rivers. Yellow River Yangzte River
The early Chinese people were the first to develop written Chinese and set up a dynasty to rule China. Xia Dynasty
Early India was located along the Indus River.
The early Indian cities of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro show evidence of some of the first urban planning.
The early Indian people were also the first to grow cotton and weave it into cloth.
