ancient medieval foods By Kameron, Emma and Drew

questions what kind of drinks did they drink how did they learn how to preserve food

Different classes of people in medieval times there were different classes of people such as the poor people and the rich people. Poor people- they would eat cabbage, beans, eggs, oats and rye/brown bread and pottage for breakfast, and if they're lucky they would be able to get cheese. Rich people- they would have all above but they would have the advantage of having spices(cinnamon, clove, ginger, mustic, and meat alternatives such as: chicken, beef, pork, and fish.

Land/ hunting What the rich people would do is that if you were in the middle of the land, you would be able to grow fruit and wheat/barley, and they would hunt for meat in the middle of the woods and sometimes they would hunt for fish if there was a river/ocean nearby. But sadly the poor people weren’t allowed to hunt. If they were caught hunting, the penalty was death or having your hands cut off.
