Course Description This course has been structured to teach students the fundamentals of Pre-Algebra. Topics of discussion will include: Connecting ratio and rate to whole number multiplication and division Completing the understanding of division of fractions Extending the notion of number to the system of rational numbers, which includes negative numbers Writing, interpreting, and using expressions and equations Geometry Developing understanding of statistical thinking. These supplemental videos will assist students with the lesson learned in class.

Math Tutoring Schedule
Student Expectations Students are to come prepared and ready to learn. That means having all materials and having completed any homework that was assigned. After 3 verbal warnings and a call/email home the student will receive a detention for not improving or modifying his/her behavior. Electronic devices are not allowed in class. (It will be confiscated and sent to the main office per school policy). Bathroom passes are for emergencies only- will be given three passes per nine week unless a student has a valid medical reason that has been cleared by the office. Complete their homework daily and continually studying for the course. New Doral Academy Student ID Safety Requirement: As part of the new school safety initiative, beginning the week of September 17 Doral Academy students are required to wear their student ID as part of their school uniform. Any student without their school ID will not be allowed to go to class. They will be given a new ID with a $5.00 obligation fee before going to their next period.
