Traineeships are part of the career orientation studies for masters degree students University funded traineeships (Finland and abroad) International Traineeships: Erasmus grants, CIMO traineeships Independent traineeships (anywhere, costs covered by employer) Career Orientation Course: Career Planning for Social Scientists, 2 study points, 31st October - 5 th December Faculty of Social Sciences / Elina Tuusa Career Orientation for Masters Degree Students
University funded traineeship = financial support for 2 months of practical training More than 100 students are selected (by lottery) every year Application period for traineeships in 2014: 9 Nov – 10 Dec 2013 Selected students will be notified in December 2013 Students themselves must find their traineeship placements, which must then be approved by the office of ones major subject (disciplines traineeship contact person). 2 contracts are made: between the employer and the Faculty Between the student and the employer For the students selected, the University will reimburse employees for a set traineeship salary for two months (salary, year 2013: 1134 euros per month) The funding is tied to the year 2014 and traineeships agreements must be made by 30 April 2014 More information and the application form to be found in Flamma Faculty of Social Sciences / Elina Tuusa University Funded Traineeships

Speakers include alumni and employer representatives.
