We will determine the central message, lesson, or moral. Writing Choose a writing prompt from the January writing calendar Choose an activity from the January challenge board Math IXL Counting money (link found of class blog) Math: Money We will solve word problems using dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. We will learn how to use the dollar and cent sign correctly. Spelling Choose an activity from the January Speller’s Choice activity sheet Write sentences using weekly words Writing: Opinion Writing We will learn how to write an opinion piece in which we introduce the topic, state an opinion, supply reason that support the opinion, use linking words, and provide a concluding statement.
