The original flying discs was actually pie tins from a bakery. In 1948, Fred Morrison manufacture the first flying discs made of plastic. Then, in January 1957, a company called Wham-O introduced the Pluto Platter. The Pluto Platter was later renamed the "Frisbee" its estimated that more Frisbee's are sold each year than basketballs baseballs and footballs combined!

Catch Up Day! Hey, everyone! Since almost everyone is missing at least one assignment, I decided to be nice and give you a catch up day.  Here’s what you need to do: Check SIS to see what you’re missing. Doing that assignment(s) should be your top priority today. I still haven’t put in the Beowulf Film Analysis Activity, the Beowulf RAFTs or the Monomythic Cycle Charts from yesterday. If any of those aren’t done, make sure you get them done today. If you got a grade you aren’t happy with on any assignments I have passed back, make corrections. Remember, I will always give partial credit for re-dos. If you believe you’re not missing anything, you’ve completed all ungraded assignments, and you have made all corrections, see me. I’ll confirm with you and give you permission to treat the rest of the period like a study hall.
