Registration Packets Registration instructions Course Request Sheet PAP Challenge Form Registration Form Food Allergies Form Declaration of Endorsement Form All of the yellow forms in the registration packet should be turned in along with the course request sheet and the print-out of the course request submission in Career Cruising.
The top page of the registration packet is the registration directions give step-by-step instructions for completing the course selection process.
Please read each step carefully to complete the course selection process
The front page of the course request sheet lists all the courses that are offered to 9 th Graders and housed at the HHS9 Campus.
The back side of the course request sheet lists all the courses that are offered to 9 th Graders, but are housed at the HHS main campus or at the Career Centers.
Other Required Credits for graduation Fine Arts Credit PE Credit 2 Credits of Foreign Language (wait for 10 th Grade to start your language…) Choose one from each Category English Math Biology Social Study (World Geography is suggested) Choose a selection from each core category – that should equal 4 choices. Next choose 4 more choices (or if you choose 9-weeks courses, 8 choices). We highly recommend that if you have not started a foreign language in middle school, you wait until 10 th Grade to take your credits of foreign language.
Courses of Interest (9-weeks) Teen Leadership Personal Financial Literacy Professional Communications Courses that have been popular with past 9 th Graders are Teen Leadership and Professional Communications (these courses are college readiness courses and teach public speaking skills). Personal Financial Literacy is a new course that helps students learn to master their personal finances.
All students must complete their 4-year plan on Career Cruising and complete their endorsement declaration. Your middle school counselors will be guiding you through the 4-year planning process. Once you have found your suggested career clusters, you can choose your endorsement and elective courses that are part of that endorsement.

If a student wants to take a PAP or AP course, they MUST sign the PAP/AP Challenge form. This form outlines the rigor and expectations of the PAP/AP courses.

All students must complete the food allergy information form.
Example Schedule 1 st 2 nd 3 rd 4 th HHS9 and HHS follow an accelerated block schedule, which means that students take four courses in the fall and four different courses in the spring. Students have the opportunity to gain 8 total credits by following this schedule.
Example Schedule 1 st 2 nd 3 rd 4 th Scheduling is computerized and students do not have a choice about where their selections will be place in the fall or spring semesters.
Read More Once students have completed their selection on the yellow course request sheet, they can then log into Career Cruising to their personalized portfolio and click on the Choose My Courses icon on the lefthand side of the portfolio. Turn this in to your counselor – YOU ARE DONE!
