The Riggins Report Classroom News for the week of August 20-24, 2018 What we’re learning: Reminders: Our first week is in the books! I hope the kids have enjoyed it half as much as I have! All of the students have done a fantastic job with learning our new procedures and leaning all about how our classroom functions. We will be working on the following skills this week: Word Study: We will be beginning our first phonics unit and will be learning about closed syllables. Reading: We will be working on asking and answering questions from a text. Math: We will begin our first math unit and will be focusing on place value skills. Social Studies: We will be learning about the constitution and working on developing our own class constitution. Please sign up for classroom dojo if you have not already!
