Go New Forest Update NFTA Members Day Wednesday 22nd November 2018

Initial Set Up: Negotiations with NFDC. Undertaking the “legal’s”. Arranging Office and infrastructure. Setting up the GNF Board Creating a Business Plan Managing Cash Flow. “Go New Forest” Launched April 2017. ………and most importantly: Setting up the Team – The major asset of “Go New Forest”

Achievements to Date: More efficient admin and contact with the membership. Launch of the new Destination Website owned and managed exclusively by GNF. Securing of the British Guild of Travel Writers event in January 2018. Merging membership & advertising rate cards for more “cost effective” marketing & improved membership benefits. Launch of the new Intranet to improve member communications. Provide a viable alternative to On-Line Travel Agents etc. “Independent Destination Marketing to Support all Member Businesses”

Members are in effect the “owners”! Being a “not for profit” business – in time we have the ability to re-invest reserves back into the marketing and support of the destination…… Members are in effect the “owners”!

What can members do to further assist?: Support the new website and marketing initiatives. Pay invoices promptly! ……& most importantly get involved with our Destination Marketing!!

Ongoing Objectives: To build on the foundations we have laid down over the last 8 months. To continue to improve engagement with the wider membership. Continue the development of the Destination website and social media Establish the cash flow and finances to create a sustainable business model that is able to continue to invest in and innovate the marketing of the Destination. Provide a sense of “togetherness” with all business working for mutual benefit. …..Be the envy of all other Destination teams!!
