Course Breakdown: Practical 60%, Theory 40% Physical skills include: Action Posture Balance Co-ordination Flexibility Stamina Technical skills include: Dynamics Rhythm Timing Expressive skills include: Projection Focus Facial expression Performance: 30% Students perform 3 selected dance phrases (1 – 1 ½ mins) Students perform a duet/trio based on the 3 phrases (3 ½ - 5 mins) What is assessed? Physical, technical and expressive skills
Course Breakdown: Practical 60%, Theory 40% Dance must include creativity and originality from original stimulus Choreography: 30% - Students can choose to choreograph a solo or group dance - Must respond to a choice of stimulus from a prescribed list set by AQA - This can be in any style
