Methodology A group of students worked with Dubuque Fighting Saints’ President Dan Lehv to make a list of questions to distribute to the fans A group of student distributed a list of surveys to a random selection of fans at 6 home games. Contacted Season Ticket holders to create a focus group of 10-12 participants The Focus group -Friday November 9th, 2012 at 6:30 We collected all the data from the surveys and focus group A group of students analyzed the data and together we came up with conclusions and recommendations for the Fighting Saints

Surveys Created using Mr. Lehv’s suggestions Goals Demographics Identification of sponsors Game day & time preference Experience Suites Kids Zone Concessions

Survey Distribution Initially spread group members across arena Determined working as one unit was more efficient Approached fan as they entered 1st to contact them Less rejection Free hands More receptive to help “market research project”

Survey Recommendations Distribute surveys at the top of the stairs at the entry way Remind fans the survey is double sided

Focus Group Questions are in the back of the handout Group was enthusiastic about discussing ways to help the Saints Fans were knowledgeable of sponsorships in the arena Even though it feels like home, fans still noticed who supports the Saints One woman switched banks because of the sponsorships in the arena

Focus Group Continued Positives of the arena Family atmosphere Season ticket holder discounts Saints help – Tyler is very accommodating! Fans love the new game times Twitter and Facebook Love hearing all the details about the saints!

Focus Group Recommendations More Saints involvement in the Dubuque Advertisements at sponsor locations Player’s going to schools More advertisement in surrounding communities More promotions with sponsors Deals with restaurants and bars Change intermission promotions Too Repetitive/they’ve seen it all before
