Unit 22 – Psychological Perspectives Introduction to Assignment

Scenario Your application for a work placement at a national charity providing care and support for older adults has been successful. Before you start the placement, the charity has asked you to carry out some research into psychological theories and approaches relevant to health and social care. You will be working with two patients whilst on your placement, one patient with Crohn's Disease and one patient with COPD.

Task 1 Pass Merit Distinction Tasks/Evidence   Pass Merit Distinction P1* :Apply psychological perspectives and approaches to health, social care and child care environments, considering how these can support person-centered care M1: Evaluate how psychological theory and health psychology contributes to the everyday practice of caring for individuals Tasks/Evidence Produce an information booklet which the charity could use at the setting Your leaflet should explain psychological perspectives commonly used in two health and social care and child care environments and include how they support person centered care Provide examples which evaluate how psychological theory and health psychology contribute to the practice of caring for the two individuals.
