WE NEED TO TALK: GROWING UP WITH A DISABILITY IN 2016 WE NEED TO TALK: GROWING UP WITH A DISABILITY IN 2016. A PHOTGRAPHY EXHIBITION BY HACKNEY YOUTH. COME AND JOIN THE CONVERSATION. WE NEED TO TALK is a photography project run by the children’s NHS therapy teams in Hackney with the young people living with disability in the borough. The young people aim to educate the local community about their diagnosis, open up a dialogue and directly challenge misconceptions of disability. They hope to work with the public to influence our immediate environment for a more equitable and informed society. The exhibition will be held at Printhouse gallery, Bootstrap, Dalston from 28 September – 4th October 2016.
