What’s Coming Up Next Week? 4C News Week of: February 26-March 2 A Note From Mrs. Carabello What’s Coming Up Next Week? March 7-9 Early Dismissal (Conferences) March 5-8 Book Fair! I’m looking forward to sharing the great work we have been doing in Fourth grade with each of you at conferences next week! Follow us on Twitter: @mrscarabello27 A Peek At Our Week Reading We have been working to compare/contrast two historical fiction texts based on their main character, setting, conflict and theme. Writing We were introduced to literary essays. We read the book Albert and began crafting a class literary essay. Math We created a flip book to help us identify equivalent fractions. We were introduced to fraction vocabulary and using number lines to identify fractions. Science We finished up our life size models of our body systems and presented them to the class. Dr. Gemellaro, our science supervisor came in the check out our fantastic work! Social Studies We began studying the regions of our nation. Our first region is the Northeast. We asked ourselves how natural features influence the region. Fun Flashback We had many visitors and activities this week for Read Across America week. We enjoyed a visit from Dr. Rosenthal, LHS students, a buddy activity, and DEAR in the hallway.
