Recruiting for Existing Clubs

Club Quality Initiative (CEP) LCI encourages clubs to go through the Club Quality Initiative (CEP) before implementing a membership drive or recruiting campaign.

Achieving Club Excellence As part of a Club Quality Initiative (CEP) workshop, club members will complete the How Are Your Ratings? Survey (internal assessment) and the Community Needs Assessment (external assessment)   Opportunities for club improvement How Are Your Ratings? Survey will provide clubs with an internal assessment of their members feelings for the club. Community Needs Assessment provides clubs with an external assessment of projects the club currently does in the community along with ideas for service based on the needs of the community.

Club Quality Initiative (CEP) is for any club that wants to do better Provides your club with the tools to energize your service, enhance member satisfaction and set goals to keep your club on track for continued growth and success. Important to NOT position Club Quality Initiative (CEP) as a tool only for weak clubs; it is not only for clubs that are struggling, but also for clubs that want to do better. Promote CEP with strong clubs, build success stories, others will follow!

Two Versions to Choose From Facilitator-led workshop Club Quality Initiative (CEP) Pro is a facilitator-led workshop designed for clubs that would like to have a trained Lion facilitator come in and guide members through the workshop. LCI now offers two versions of Club Quality Initiative (CEP) : Club Quality Initiative (CEP) Pro - which is designed for clubs that would like to have a trained Lion facilitator come in and guide members through the workshop. And

Two Versions to Choose From Self-guided workshop Club Quality Initiative (CEP) Pro Lite is a self-guided workshop designed for clubs that would prefer to have a member of their club lead the workshop Club Quality Initiative (CEP) Lite - which is designed for clubs that would prefer to have a member of their club lead the workshop. Club Quality Initiative (CEP) Lite is a result from what we heard from Lions in the field stating some clubs didn’t want an outsider to facilitate the workshop or that in some areas facilitators located far away from clubs, and it was difficult to schedule workshops.

Just Ask! Once your club has gone through the Club Excellence Process and/or have completed How are your Ratings? Survey/Community Needs Assessment – your club should be ready for new members. So now it is time to ask.

Just Ask! New Member Recruiting Guide for Clubs Guides clubs through the process of: Recruiting new members Effectively managing club growth Every club needs members in order to achieve its service goals. New members provide clubs with fresh ideas, new projects and additional ways to make a difference in the community.   The Just Ask! Guide is designed to help your club with the process of  recruiting new members and effectively managing club growth. It is intended for clubs looking to recruit new members and do more service.

Managing the club growth process Preparing the club Creating the club’s growth plan Implementing the club’s growth plan Welcoming new members Although the concept is simple – just ask community members to join – this guide will help your club prepare an effective outreach plan so you are successful when you’re ready to ask. The process has just four steps:   1) Preparing your club 2) Creating your club’s growth plan 3) Implementing your club’s growth plan and 4) Welcoming your new members

Keep Your New and Existing Members Happy

Membership Satisfaction Guide Ensuring clubs remains healthy and vital by helping members feel: Welcome Comfortable Involved in service To ensure your Lions club remains healthy and vital, you need to consider the experience and expectations of belonging to your club. If your club members feel welcome, comfortable and are involved in community service, they will remain part of your club for a long time. The membership satisfaction guide will help guarantee your members are getting the experience they expect from your club by feeling: Welcome Comfortable And Involved in Service

Define member satisfaction for the club. 3 Step Process Define member satisfaction for the club. Create a club’s membership satisfaction plan. Implement and review the plan. The membership satisfaction guide outlines a process for providing the experiences your members are seeking to keep them happy and coming back. The three steps are: Define member satisfaction for your club. Create your club’s membership satisfaction plan. And implement and review your plan.

Club Membership Chairperson The Club Membership Chairperson is critical to the success of the club.

Club Membership Chairperson Guide Preparing for your term Form a membership committee Develop a planning calendar The chairperson’s responsibilities Membership Satisfaction and Recruitment Support and guidance Membership Committee District LCI Clubs are encouraged to appoint a club membership chairperson each fiscal year to assist their clubs with membership growth and serve on their clubs’ board of directors. To equip chairpersons and encourage them to utilize new resources such as the Just Ask! and Membership Satisfaction Guides, Lions Clubs International recently updated the Club Membership Chairperson Guide. The guide outlines how club membership chairpersons should prepare for their term, which includes forming a membership committee and developing a planning calendar, in addition to outlining their responsibilities related to membership satisfaction and membership recruitment and how to incorporate such programs. Support and guidance are readily available for membership chairpersons. The guide directs chairpersons to work closely with their membership committee, the district GMT team and LCI to help meeting their responsibilities.
