Where we ARE SORRENTO PENINSULA is situated on the left side of southern Itlay on Tyrrhenian coast,exactly in the region called Campania.The nearest big city is Naples , and it influences our traditions,too.This provincial capital has a million inhabitants and a very interesting history.In antiquity,Naples was called Partenope:according to a legend Ulysses was sailing nearby and met a mermaid,called Partenope,who fell in love with him.Finally she dead following him in Naples’ bay.

Geography Our peninsula overlooks Vesuvius volcano ,Naples bay and three beautiful islands:Ischia,Capri and Procida.Infact we have a beutiful view.The climate is mild thanks to the sea.It’s a beautiful place to spend your holidays!

Sorrento We live in Sorrento, a small town near Naples. It’s a beautiful place for tourists. There are a lot of wonderful sites to visit and an amazing view of the Vesuvius and the islands of Capri, Procida and Ischia.

Tourist activities in sorrento In our little city there are a lot of activities for tourists like visits to lemon and orange farms because this is a typical Sorrento’s production. You can also go on an excursion on a little boat around the coast and visit Marina Grande and Marina Piccola, where is situeded a port of the town. If you prefer to have a tour around Sorrento you can buy a ticket for a typical train for tourists.

Sorrento, a european town In our opinion Sorrento is a European town because it is caothic, astonishing and touristic. A lot of tourists come to our town every year, so it’s rich of different cultures and different people. It’s famous all over the world.
