The Beginning of ANC ANC = African National Congress National Liberalization Movement Founded January 8 1912 In Bloemfontein, South Africa The founders of the congress were: John Langalibalele Dube, Sol Plaatje, and Pixley ka Isaka Seme

Congress Stood For…. Had the aim of fighting for the rights of the Southern Black Africans Unite the African American people and spearhead the struggle for fundamental political, social and economic change

Southern Christian Leadership Conference The Southern Christian Leadership Conference is an African-American civil rights organization (SCLC). Closely associated with its first president, Martin Luther King Jr who had a large role in the American Civil Rights Movement Organized nonviolent protests, boycotts, sit-ins, etc. Looked to gain equality through nonviolent means and by working with white citizens to change the racially driven laws.
