UNIT I: LESSON #3 LEARNING TARGET: 5. Students understand that variations in- -The Environment -Geography -Climate -Natural Resources -all contributed to regional differences in what would become the British colonies.” (AP Key Concept 2.1, III.)

UNIT I: LESSON #3 II. In the English Colonies, over time, two distinct versions of what it means to be an American begin to emerge. Jamestown, and the “Planter Colonies” of the South will evolve with one set of values, priorities and norms. Plymouth, the “New England Colonies” and “Mid-Atlantic Colonies” will evolve as polar opposites of the South. Why? How?
