CHANNEL-the outline of a path of relatively shallow and narrow body of fluid, most commonly the confine of a river, river delta or strait

DELTA-forms from deposition (deposit’s) of sediment carried by a river as the flow leaves its mouth and enters slower-moving or standing water.

DUNE-a hill of loose sand built by wind or the flow of water.

SANDBAR- a landform which is in or partly in a body of water SANDBAR- a landform which is in or partly in a body of water. Usually it is made of sand, silt, and/or small pebbles.

LAKE- a body of water that is surrounded by land LAKE- a body of water that is surrounded by land. This type of water is usually fresh water while there are some that are salt water

MOUNTIAN- a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak.

SINKHOLE-a cavity in the ground, especially in limestone bedrock, caused by water erosion and providing a route for surface water to disappear underground.

VALLEY- a low area between hills, often with a river running through it
