5 minutes TWO GROUP TASKS: Group 1: You will be provided with a sheet of paper with 64 squares on it – glue this in your sketchbook. Group 2: Equip yourselves with a MacBook laptop or work on an iMac – log on and load up Adobe Illustrator. Then, go to the VLE and find the link on the Yr9 GC page to the YouTube tutorial video to watch and follow.

You will… Learning Objectives (Group 1) Learn how to produce a variety of typeface styles of 1 letter. Learn to control graphic media to produce effective typefaces. Review the success of your own and each other’s work.   (Group 2) Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to produce a computerised typographical word. Learn some of the tools and techniques on Illustrator.

2 minutes The best way to produce a range of fonts is to look them up on your phone and copy them.
