ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE WHAT ARE YOUR GRATEFUL FOR TODAY AND WHY?

TODAY YOU WILL… Reflect on your own character and identify ways you could improve it. Understand what the most influential leaders have in common and how it connects to the servant-leadership model.

Most influential leader WHY THE MOST INFLUENTIAL LEADERS ARE INFLUENTIAL AND HOW IT CONNECTS TO OUR LIVES

1 – 4 – 8 Brainstorm Open to a new page & title it “Most Influential Leaders” Step 1: Write down as many names as you can think that you think could be the most influential leader of all time. No discussion with anyone else. Try to think of as many as possible, but 5-6 is a solid goal. You have 2 minutes. Step 2: Find work with your table group. Share your lists with each other and add anyone to your list that someone else shares in the group. If time still remain, then add any additional names. You have 2 minutes. Step 3: Now join another group of 4. Share lists and add to your own. Discuss who would make the ‘Top 5’ on the list of the Most Influential Leaders of All Time in the World. You have 5-7 minutes. Circle the agreed upon ‘Top 5’ Groups share their ‘Top 5’ with class

LISTS Hitler George Washington Alexander The Great Ghengis Kahn Ghandi MLK George Washington Bill Gates Sacewegea Donald Trump

Voting: Most influential leader Positive vs. Negative Time to Vote Write your name on a sticky note Write the initials of each of the ‘Top 5’ You each have 5 votes You can use them all on one person OR you can split them up

They are all different, so how is it they are all influential leaders? WHAT DO THESE LEADERS HAVE IN COMMON IN THE WAY THEY LED OR CURRENTLY LEAD? They are all different, so how is it they are all influential leaders?

WHO IS YOUR MOST INFLUENCIAL PERSON Raise your hand if it was: Your mom Your dad A brother or sister Another family member (aunt, uncle, grandparent, guardian) A close friend A mentor of some kind (teacher, coach, youth group) Why was that person the most influential person in your life?

THEY SERVED AND SACRIFICED Just on a different level than our ‘Top 5’

If Leadership is influence, then how do you get influence?
