Food and Drink Policy Absences and Grades Google Classroom In general, food and drinks are allowed in my class. This is contingent on it not becoming a distraction in class, and as long as students can handle the responsibility. This policy is subject to change at my discretion, and at any time. Just like theatre, there are deadlines, and if you miss a performance you miss a crucial opportunity. If there was a worksheet or a bell work that was missed there will be additional copies made and stored, the student must take responsibility to ask for the make-up work. For missed performances, students have until 1 week to reschedule the performance outside of class time to receive 90% of the grade, after the week is up the student may do an alternative assignment for up to 60% of the grade. All make-up work must be turned into the hour tray. If you hand it to me or set it on my desk, it will probably get lost. Google Classroom I will be trying to use Google Classroom for assignments. If you miss a class period, check on Google Classroom first. I will be keeping it up to date. Google Classroom is iPad compatible. There will also be class time to work on assignments. If you do not have access to a computer or other electronic device, please let me know. Our Objectives Electronic Devices Understand proper presentation techniques. Expressive use of the body and voice to create a realistic character. Demonstrate individual and ensemble acting skills. Develop an appreciation of theatre. A completed list will always be posted in the classroom. If you have any questions, please let me know. Electronic devices should be kept in students backpacks. Devices should not be out during class, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher. 1st Offense: Student will turn the phone into the teacher until the end of class. 2nd Offense: Student will turn the phone into the teacher until the end of the day. 3rd Offense: Phone will be turned into office and parents will have to pick up the device from the office.
