SIGN ORDINANCE CHANGES June 3, 2014
PORTABLE SIGN CHANGE Use of a portable sign shall be limited to no more than ninety (90) one hundred and eighty (180) days aggregate per calendar year. A separate permit for each period of use must be obtained from the permits and inspections department prior to display of a portable sign. In no event shall a permit authorizing display for more than thirty (30) consecutive days be issued. (J) Portable signs must have affixed in a location readily visible from the public right of way a decal issued by the City of San Angelo Permits and Inspections Department indicating the expiration date of the current permit period.
CORNER SIGN CHANGE (ii) All lots located at the intersection of two streets shall be allowed a minimum of one freestanding sign on each of both such street frontages. The message portion for only one sign (of a maximum two signs allowed specifically by this subsection) shall be placed at an angle perpendicular to the right-of-way line for each street, so the message faces traffic flow on that one street only on a lot located at the intersection of two streets may be placed at a forty-five (45) degree angle perpendicular to the street corner such that the sign is legible from each intersecting street.
