ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE WHAT ARE YOUR GRATEFUL FOR TODAY AND WHY?

TODAY YOU WILL… Reflect daily on your own character and identify ways you could improve it. Know that influence is a skill that can be learned. Understand that influence is built on service and sacrifice. Understand the two definitions of the Law of the Harvest. Understand that service and sacrifice is not a transaction (automatic) but, rather, something that can happen over time with persistence, consistency, and commitment. Identify the Law of the Harvest in action.

WHAT MAKES SOMEONE INFLUENTIAL IN YOUR LIFE? PERSON HOW THEY SERVED HOW THEY SACRIFICED EX: My Dad He came to all my sports events He left early & got stuck in traffic to get there on time 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Do you think each person on your list was naturally born with the positive qualities you mentioned about them or did they have to practice them?

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

The Law of the Harvest

Why is the word WANT so important here? This LEADERSHIP LAW CONNECTS TO INFLUENCE AND SERVe & SACRIFICE BECAUSE…. It describes that the more you help others the more likely they will ‘want’ to help you in return. The ‘want’ describes influence When you help someone it is not a guarantee that they will be nice to you BUT the law explains that the more you help others over time, the more likely they are to want to help you or be more kind to you in return. Why is the word WANT so important here?

LEADERSHIP LAW OF THE HARVEST Come up with 3 examples where someone has done something that made them WANT to help the other person. Why that was the case? Example Why they WANTED to help? 1. 2. 3.

STOP HERE

While watching the video, LOOK for the Law of the Harvest. In your Leadership journal, write down anything that demonstrates acts of service that might result in people wanting to sacrifice for him. TERRY FOX
