Self-made load manager Date: 27th March 2012 A load manager was made out of the old items. Equipment used: 200/5 CTs, 3 in number Enercon digital energy meter Connecting wires Pictures showing Tests run on Woodland DB

Do we have buy Load Managers Anymore? There currents and voltages were compared with an actual load manager. There results were not same, but still close. Voltages shown were identical. Current readings did not match. Current fluctuated sometimes and gave a zero reading.   Current (A) Error % Voltage (V) Current on load manager 10 220 Current on self made Load manager 9

Savings Calculations Disadvantages: S. no. Items used Cost (INR) 1 Digital Energy meter 10,000 2 Cts(3 nos.) 9,000   Total 19,000 Cost of Load manager in marketx 50000 INR Cost of Making our own Load manager 19000 Expected savings 31000 Disadvantages: Its readings cannot be relied on. (Error of 10%) Cannot replace a load manager. Advantages: But it is good for checking/monitoring purposes. Easy to take from one place and connect to other.
