Why was the Neolithic Revolution so important to early man’s development?

Early man no longer had to search for food Early man no longer had to search for food. They could now grow what they needed and settle in one place. This marked the beginning of civilizations. Hunters & Gatherers/ Nomads Settled (stay in one place) Farmers

Civilization- is a complex (advance), highly organized society.

EVERY CIVILIZATION HAS EIGHT FEATURES IN COMMON. Here are some examples of these features. See if you can guess what some of these features are based on the following photos.

EVIDENCE that you live in a civilization FEATURE EVIDENCE that you live in a civilization Cities Cities were the places where the first civilizations were born. A city is more than just a place with lots of people. The difference between a village and a city is that the city is a center of trade. Ancient cities depended on trade between people who grew more food than they could eat and decided to sell or trade it.  

Before Agriculture There were only TWO kinds of JOBS: Hunters: Mostly men of group performed this task. Gatherers: Mostly women and small children were given this task.
