Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for Schools (Gail Dalton-Ayres – ASK Director)

ASK PROJECT 2016-17 Support For Schools The ‘Apprenticeship Support & Knowledge’ in Schools Project is funded by the National Apprenticeship Service Compliment other stakeholder offers (LEP/ CEC / JCP / DWP / NCS) BL Training is the project lead with the support of NELPs (Springboard / UXL / Skills4U & TVLPN) Funding confirmed for 2017-18  

The Offer to schools & colleges: The service includes: • A free IAG interactive presentation session promoting Traineeships and Apprenticeships linked to employability . Supporting all abilities and social mobility agenda • Help pupils register on Find an Apprenticeship service Website, set alerts and apply for vacancies • Help signpost pupils to higher and degree apprenticeships opportunities and options  

Achievement's YTD: In North east area alone we have provided 242 individual school engagements working with pupils to encourage them to register and apply for apprenticeship vacancies using the Find an apprenticeship website. 202 Apprenticeship Champions in schools

Achievement's YTD: In North region we have worked with 516 schools, engaged with 46,455 pupils, provided 2302 teachers CPD sessions, supported 7400 apprenticeship registrations and supported 876 students applications.

We use the website to signpost students in schools to apply for your vacancies! Recommend us to schools you work with – we need to engage all schools in 2017-18 Our goal ….
