Presentation transcript:

Starter Write down the definitions and draw an example of each of the principles listed below. Definition of Movement: is the path the viewer’s eye takes through the artwork, often to a focal area. It can be directed along lines, edges, shapes and color. Movement is closely tied to rhythm. Definition of Rhythm: a movement in which some elements recurs regularly.  Like a dance it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.

Watercolor silhouettes day 1 Art A Watercolor silhouettes day 1

Agenda Go over what we did last time. Watercolor experiments. Pick your favorite watercolor technique and prepare you watercolor paper for your projects background.

Last Time We got our photos and learned how to draw them in 1 point perspective. Than we wrote a goal of what we wanted to add to our 1 point perspective images. Lastly we had check point one, where we showed that we could draw our structure for 1 point from our photo.

Watercolor test step 1 Fill in inferences on your paper for each medium you will be using.

Watercolor test Step 2 Start at the top with salt and work your way down testing what each medium will do. I recommend putting the glue down first before you start so it has time to dry.

Watercolor test Step 3 Once completed with the experiment write down what actually happened with the medium you used.

How to prepare your ground Step 1 Wet both sides of your watercolor paper.

Step 2 Tape down all three pieces of watercolor paper on all four sides.

Step 3 Paint your watercolor background onto all three papers. Let dry.

Studio Time Step 1 wet both sides of your 3 papers. Step 2 tape all 4 edges completely down to the board. Step 3 use your favorite watercolor technique and color your papers. Note: Do not use Black or you will have to start over.

Things to do at end of class… Make sure your name is on the tape of your watercolor paper as well as the back so you know it is yours next time. Make sure you have turned in your watercolor experiment with test sheet showing examples completely filled out. Make sure your name is on everything.
