Monday, September 12 Today you will need your Short Takes book. We will also begin bell work this week using the 501 Grammar and Writing Questions book. Please take a copy of the book from the table. Read the Capitalization rules on page 1 and complete Set 1 on page 3

Tuesday, September 13 Today you will need your 501 book and your Short Takes book. Quiz on “Freeze Frame” chapter in Short Takes book Thursday. Bring your Elements of Literature book tomorrow. Complete Set 2 in your 501 book. Read and annotate the article “Half of Teens Think They’re Addicted to Their Smartphones.”

Wednesday, September 14 Bell work – Complete Set 3, #19-28 on pages 5-6 of your 501 book. Quiz on “Freeze Frame” chapter in Short Takes book Thursday. Bring your Elements of Literature book tomorrow.

“Half of Teens Think They’re Addicted to Their Smartphones” In a paragraph or two, explain whether or not you agree or disagree with the information presented in the article. Include at least one direct quote from the article to support your opinion. Be sure to explain your reasoning.

Thursday, September 15 Bell work – Complete Set 5, #54-61 on pages 8-9 of your 501 book. Quiz on “Freeze Frame” chapter in Short Takes book Today. You need your Elements of Literature book today.
