Lord, bless us R Tabor © R Tabor 2003 CCL Licence 37003

Lord, bless us, who gather to promise You here 1. Lord, bless us, who gather to promise You here our lives to Your work, at the start of the year, recalling the covenant made through Your Son, and proclaiming our joy that in Him we are one. 1/5

Lord, humbly we offer the deeds of our days, 2. Lord, humbly we offer the deeds of our days, our hearts for Your service, our voices for praise. May our life be Your life, through times bad or good, and salvation be ours, as You promised it would. 2/5

Wherever You send us, whatever You ask, 3. Wherever You send us, whatever You ask, we’ll rise to the challenge, and take up the task, do Your will, not ours, and submit to Your plan. With the help of Your Spirit, we know that we can. 3/5

With the words of commitment now fresh in our mind 4. With the words of commitment now fresh in our mind we come to Your table, Lord, trusting we’ll find Your presence among us in bread and in wine, which remain for Your covenant ever the sign. 4/5

Our journey to You may not start in one place, 5. Our journey to You may not start in one place, but each knows Your love, and we all need Your grace. In loving each other, as You said we should, may we be one with You – as You promised we would. 5/5
