Writing Write a thank you letter to our troops on the paper provided (family members are welcome to write a letter as well. Math Go to the Funny Numbers Link (“fun links” on class webpage) Go to the Place Value Practice (Try the Challenge Yourself activity) Math: Place Value We will review how to read and write 3-digit numbers to 1,000. We will also count within 1,000 and skip count by 5’s, 10’s, and 100’s. Spelling No homework Writing: Informational Writing We will continue our unit on informational writing. We will learn how to introduce a topic and use facts to develop points about our topic. Reading Read 20 minutes every day Ask and answer questions using an informational text. No homework Science/SS/Health: Economics We will finish up the economics unit and begin learning about the contributions of Sequoyah, James Oglethorpe, Mary Musgrove, and Tomochichi.
