Concept #3 – Trade Agreements Lesson Objective Questions: How does free international trade affect a nation’s standard of living? Vocabulary – World Trade Organization North American Free Trade Agreement

Warm up – COMPLETE IN BINDER What is the last agreement you made with your parents?

Computer Lab Activities Activity #1 – Trade Organization and Agreement Graphic Organizer (Partner Activity) Research the International Trade Organizations and Agreements Complete the Graphic Organizer by summarizing each of the organizations and/or agreements Use Microsoft Word to complete Graphic Organizer. Print and Email when finished. Activity #2 – International Trade Agreement Scavenger Hunt (Individual Activity) Follow all directions and use links provided to complete the activity. If the link does not work, use a search engine to complete scavenger hunt Use Microsoft Word to complete activity. Print and Email when finished.

Activity #3 - Analyzing Trade Agreement Cartoons Analyze the trade agreement cartoons to determine the costs and benefits associated with international trade agreements. Answer the following three questions for each of the cartoons on a separate piece of paper. What is going on in the picture? Who or what is represented? What point is the author trying to make? Complete the wrap-up question. Staple work together and turn into the bin when finished.
