As you may recall, you can log in to BCPS One at bcpsone.bcps.org BCPS One functions with a single sign-on. The single sign-on means that once you log into to BCPS One, you will not have to log into the other systems within BCPS One. bcpsone.bcps.org

As and administrator or a STAT teacher when you enter BCPS One your landing page is a customizable dashboard that allows you access to data you identify as being relevant to your needs. The navigation bar on the left will be customized based on user profile. For example, this bar will look differently for administrators and STAT teachers than it will for teachers.

One component of BCPS one is the electronic grade book One component of BCPS one is the electronic grade book. Today, you will view a demonstration of this feature. The grade book provides a digital means to collect student progress data. If you are currently using a different electronic grade book, for example through Edline, Engrade, Sharp School, or Easy Grade pro; this will replace those current systems.

Gradebook Resource Video Under the lessons feature the teacher can push specific resources from various places You can add anyone to your gradebook to see students work or grades http://vimeo.com/engrade/bcpsonegradebook LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL

Today we are going to focus our attention on the content management system in BCPS One. Throughout the spring and summer staff with in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction have been very busy creating, revising, and updating curriculum. From this point on as new curriculum is developed it will be loaded into BCPS One. Starting at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, the Elementary English Language Arts curriculum for grades 1-3 will be available in BCPS. This will include: Course maps, unit plans, lesson plans Assessments, and Digital resources aligned to the lesson plan Over the next five years all newly developed curriculum will be available in BCPS One. Today we are going to start off by providing you an overview of how to access curriculum in BCPS One and then Vince will provide you with demonstration of the lesson planning tiles.

Key CONCEPTS: Structure Course Map Unit Plan Unit Plan Unit Plan District Lesson Plans District Lesson Plans District Lesson Plans Key CONCEPTS: Structure Teacher Lesson Plans Teacher Lesson Plans Teacher Lesson Plans This slide represents the structure of curriculum within BCPS One. Every course will have a course map. This is similar to a syllabus or course overview. Within each course you will see units and within the units you will see district developed lesson plans. From there the teacher will create their lesson plan and customize instruction. Finally, students will have the ability to personalize their own learning. Student View Student View Student View

TEACHERS As we return to the data dashboard page you will notice on the left side of the page a list of viewing options – dashboard, calendar, students, teachers, etc. To view curriculum, start by click on the word “Teachers”
