Reading/Language Arts: The Macy/Maxim Messenger Your top source for 3-4 news! October 23-27, 2017 Reading/Language Arts: Non-fiction book groups continued. Students will study topics of civics in book groups, including state and local government, and qualities of a good citizen. Writing/Spelling: Practice of “in persona” time period writing. Imagining they are pilgrims, students will write historically accurate journal entries about crossing the Atlantic. Integrated Studies: Pilgrim simulation continues. The students have now crossed the Atlantic on their ship, along with the Mayflower, after facing a multitude of challenges and will begin making decisions about how to start their colony!
