Reading/Language Arts: The Macy/Maxim Messenger Your top source for 3-4 news! October 23-27, 2017 Reading/Language Arts: Non-fiction book groups continued. Students will study topics of civics in book groups, including state and local government, and qualities of a good citizen. Writing/Spelling: Practice of “in persona” time period writing. Imagining they are pilgrims, students will write historically accurate journal entries about crossing the Atlantic. Integrated Studies: Pilgrim simulation continues. The students have now crossed the Atlantic on their ship, along with the Mayflower, after facing a multitude of challenges and will begin making decisions about how to start their colony! Noteworthy Announcements Please sign student’s homework planner each Friday and review work sent home.  This Week’s Focus Mark Your Calendar: Oct. 27th- Join us for All School Sing! Oct. 31st- Halloween Party 1:00pm and Parade 2:30 Nov. 3rd- No school, care available Nov. 6th- Early dismissal 12:15 Upcoming Assignments: Check binder for when your current event is due!  Wed. Oct. 25th- 4th Grade Math test
