FY 2017 Laboratory Audits We will continue to use QSM, Revision 5.0 as the basis for the FY2017 Audits We will also use the Errata Document, Revision 2 for implementation of necessary requirements and deviations from QSM 5.0
Phased Audits We will continue with Phased Audits as a means to minimize travel dollars Laboratories that have performed well with no significant issues will be good candidates for the Phased Audits
Implementation Schedule QSM 5.1 DOECAP will incorporate the updates and will use QSM 5.1 for the FY18 audits To be able to meet the implementation schedule, the majority of the checklists will require revision and update Budgeting permitting we will begin the checklist revision in early FY2017 The revision process will require everyone’s help
Beyond FY17 There are number of requirement documents that will require major revision or harmonization of the QSM TNI ELV1-2016, Rev 2.0 Management and Technical Requirements for Laboratories Performing Environmental Analysis has been approved and will be implemented by 2018 TNI Standard ELV1M6 Quality Systems for Radiochemical Testing has been approved and will be implemented ISO/IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories is being revised
