Round Table 7 Management Plan

Identification of research gaps It is really cross cutting – hope that the other rt have thoroughly addressed the technical points Most of the research gaps tackle the problem of scale and seem to be close to social research transboundary indicators go on although there are uncertainties (resilience of ecosystems, climate change or inertia evolution) Better understanding of the land-use impact on the water cycle Better understanding of effects of supplementary measures Expectations are different on the different levels (transboundary, regional, local) More coherence is needed between directives and scale

dissemination of research to … many information exists already (reports, conferences and web sites) It is a question of the right time to disseminate results so that people really use them Need for continuity Each specific project has its own schedule but step by step approach is in favor of a better public understanding translate research results in common understandable pictures – translate policy needs into research questions Need for a practical interface between research and public take your time, visit conferences and workshops where subjects are linked and people share experiences – a new water culture has to be implemented
