Partnership between School and Home Working together is vital for your child’s progress this year. Parents’ support at home is a vital element which makes a huge difference to your child’s progress during the year. Please ensure your child gets enough sleep and comes to school; ‘ready to learn’ Please spend some time reading with and to your child thus encouraging the importance and enjoyment of reading! In school we will recognise all children’s efforts in our reading reward scheme Please encourage your child to complete their home work regularly and on time.

How can I help my child? Reading, reading, reading! (It doesn’t have to be a school book) Reading a book to your child is also very beneficial Rehearsing spellings / sounds in fun ways e.g. letters /games, ipad /computer games

Maths is all around us… Place value, number bonds, times tables, fluency, counting on and backwards, 5 and 6 digit numbers, problem solving Tables – recite multiplication tables facts wherever you are!
