Monday EC Meeting- San Diego July 2014 Monday EC Meeting- San Diego Andrew Myles reported on JTC1 activities (EC-0042r0). 802 has six standards in the pipeline. See report for full details. Next JTC1 meeting is in London Glen Parsons reviewed the 802 ITU Standing Committee work. Objective is not to interfere with current liaisons but to track on- going points of interest and activity. There will be a meeting Weds AM1 to review more detail on activity and determine whether any 802 positions are needed. Monday EC Meeting- San Diego July 2014 Monday EC Meeting- San Diego Paul reported on 1905.1 Liaison request. Still little progress from the WG or the SA on the lack of openness. Paul reviewed Transportation SCC status. Action was tabled until August. Issue is what is the purpose and what is its authority. There is a BoF on Emerging Applications Weds “instead” of a social. The will some short presentations and a discussion of any relevant topics relating to emerging applications. F&B will start at 615pm with BoF starting around 7pm.
