Battle Creek Community Foundation’s Youth Alliance Committee What is YAC? No, it’s not the long haired cow – it’s a bunch of friends from around the Battle Creek area who work to fund, promote, and create programs that help other youth through the Battle Creek Community Foundation! The Youth Alliance Committee (aka YAC) was formed in 1989 by the Battle Creek Community Foundation (BCCF) to involve high school students - in the greater Battle Creek area - in improving the quality of life for area youth. YAC fulfills this goal through an active role in grantmaking, volunteerism, evaluating needs & interests of youth, and actively engaging in various community projects. YAC is 35 students strong in 2017-2018, proudly representing seven public, private and home schools including: Battle Creek Academy, Calhoun Community, Battle Creek Central, Harper Creek, Lakeview, Pennfield, & St. Phillip Catholic Central. YAC is recruiting! Through a competitive process, YAC seeks a diverse group of high school-aged students looking to experience new things, meet new people, and have fun.
