The following MAC Enhancements are added in CWPAN Nov. 2007 The following MAC Enhancements are added in CWPAN Propose a Non-persistent CSMA/CA to provide an enhanced CAP performance with lower complexity Propose a Distributed Contention Access Scheme to increase the throughput Propose a GTS extended to use the inactive period in superframe for energy-unlimited devices Propose a shared GTS scheme to increase the efficiency of usage, while the GTS requirement frame format is expanded Propose a enhanced security scheme on the MAC layer to provide device authentication Liang, Paul Dixon, Pei Liui
